Emmelianna is an Environmental Scientist and Educator with over twenty years of experience successfully managing complex research and consultancy projects. She has worked across academia, NGOs and government sectors, addressing a wide range of environmental issues.

Emmelianna holds a PhD in Ecotoxicology and has developed and managed national and international projects, and contributed to national strategies aimed at monitoring and risks from chemical pollutants to wild animals and the environment. Her work focuses on identifying risks and developing innovative, science-based solutions to support large-scale nature recovery efforts.

Alongside her research and consultancy work, Emmelianna has extensive experience in science education and communication, having developed and delivered conservation education and training programmes in the UK, Europe and Asia. She has also taught at university level, supervised Master’s and PhD research projects and mentored early-career scientists. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to take a unique approach to science communication- combining scientific expertise with a strong understanding of how people learn.
